Welcome!
It seems as though it wasn’t too long ago that some people huffed when they heard the language of Spanish being spoken. So what happened? Now, more people are willing to accept that there are opportunities that can be taken advantage of – and emergencies that can be resolved – if they invest the time to learn even the most basic Spanish communication techniques.
Founding Spanglish Language Solutions™ in October 2020, I made it my mission to empower individuals and businesses to thrive in a multilingual world by bridging the language gap between my two spoken languages of Spanish and English. This is made possible by hosting interactive Spanish and English group classes to individuals and providing Spanish Language Training Workshops to businesses.
Combining my experience in management, communications, and public education, I am confident that the solutions offered through Spanglish Language Solutions provide maximum benefits, providing the greatest impact to the Spanish-English language obstacles.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL
Solutions
Spanglish Language Solutions offers three major solutions.
Spanish classes are tailored to build a solid foundation for beginner learners and are offered in the form of Pop-Up Classes or as a Spanish Bootcamp. The Spanish Bootcamp is a comprehensive course that covers the most important and useful topics for Spanish learning and communication. Pop-Up Classes present an opportunity to expand and provide for depth of Spanish vocabulary through the learning of specific topics and themes.
English classes are designed for beginner and intermediate learners of the English language. This course provides foundation for English communication by focusing on vocabulary and pronunciation. It also includes developing the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the American English language.
Spanish Language Training Workshops
Spanish Language Training Workshops are designed individually. Because each business has its own unique structure and goals, these workshops provide the most essential Spanish vocabulary to help businesses navigate their most frequent operations and communications, both internally and externally. Active and immediate implementation allows for more efficient productivity and improved company reputation.
By hosting effective, results-driven classes and workshops, topics of learning are able to be made fun and digestible. Whether I am tasked with establishing a solid foundation or improving upon what is already there, my solutions provide the best results in the fastest time possible.

the story of
how it all started
Let’s set the scene. It’s my sophomore year in high school. Two classmates ask me for help to study for an upcoming Spanish test and I agree to help. From there, it just started to snowball! Over time, those requests for tutoring turned into requests for Spanish classes – mostly due to language barriers at work. It’s nearly fifteen years later and I’m still doing the same thing – just better!
I tutored Spanish for five years (from high school and into university) before taking on the role as a communication assistant for a telecommunications relay service. In this position I assisted deaf, hearing impaired, and speech impaired phone users in making and receiving their phone calls in their native Spanish language. (A brief pause…yes! Persons with hearing and speech impairments can use phones with the help of TTY machines and relay services.) Sometimes the calls were made to other Spanish speakers. Other times, the calls were made to English speakers – which required real-time translation and interpreting. For four years, I processed phone calls like these to physician offices, boutiques, friends, prisons, sandwich shops, and to anywhere else you can place a phone call. Yes. In Spanish. Yes. There was almost always a language barrier.
After four years with the relay, I made a transition into public education. Certified, I have been teaching for eight years. I was about halfway through year six when an over-worked subpar day lead me to want something different. I’d never stopped accepting tutoring clients, but I definitely knew that it was time to pull that old idea of teaching Spanish off the shelf.
Although I wasn’t ready to begin Spanish classes when Spanglish was first founded, it was definitely a major driving force to get started. Document Translation and Spanish Tutoring were the first and only solutions offered up until May 2023. Now, you find me here in the launching season of classes and workshops, doing a little troubleshooting.
Now you’re all up to date! Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm as the new classes make entrance. I’m excited to help you reach your Spanish language goals and take your Spanish language skills to the next level.

This really helped! I still remember a little bit of Spanish from high school, but I still got stuck on some topics. I'm taking Spanish class online so I guess it's a little different than being in class. I've been getting help when I'm confused. And so far I feel ready for the final exam.

My son Rishi needed help badly with his Spanish course. He attends a magnet high school in the tenth grade and his teacher is not helpful. It seems as if the teacher only assigns work and does not help the students. Both of us were frustrated until I was able to find help for him. He doesn't want to continue to learn Spanish, but he got the help he needed from Spanglish to pass the class. This was great because he wants to graduate early.

Mrs. Acosta, you are a great Spanish tutor. I would recommend you to not only students who are taking Spanish in school but also for people like me who are learning Spanish on their own. You are very patient. I recommend you highly.

First of all, I really feel like some of these professors need to find another job because they do *not* try to help. I just wanted to pass this class and get it out of the way. I'm a music major so I don't know why I needed to take Spanish. It wasn't my favorite class, but it was easier after I got tutoring. I was sooo close to asking her to just do my homework for me. LOL.

I found Ms. Acosta through one of my daughter's teachers. She was an absolute heaven send! My daughter is enrolled in an immersion school, but something was just not clicking. I'm grateful for the recommendation because I didn't know where to look!

Thank you very much. The translation service was quick. I needed to have my birth certificate from Honduras translated to English. [translated to English]

I wish I had gotten help sooner! Spanish was kicking my baby's butt. I felt bad because she gets good grades and was excited to start her first year of high school...and then she got a D in her first semester of Spanish class. A friend on Facebook told me about tutoring and I sent a DM immediately! We finished second semester with a B. It was worth it.

I really like that the document came with a translation certificate. That's one of the things immigration asked for for our case. It made us feel more confident about submitting our documents. Especially since it was very detailed.
