How to prepare for this lesson
- Choose your studying location. Be ready and seated in front of your computer, tablet, or phone at least 5-10 minutes before the start of the lesson.
- Use a dedicated Spanish notebook or journal to be more organized. It's beneficial to have all of your learning information, along with your questions and answers, in one place.
- During the lesson, write down any questions that you may have. You may also consider writing down any non-lesson related thoughts, ideas, or tasks that come across your mind during the time of this lesson. Writing down your questions and thoughts allows you to free up brain space so that you may continue to focus on and engage in the lesson. It will relieve you from the stress of forgetting or forcing yourself to remember your thoughts or questions at the end of the lesson.
- Print lesson materials before the class. Having a physical copy is great for easy reference and note-taking. If printing is not an option, be sure to download the necessary materials and have them nearby. This may look like having an additional tab open on your computer, tablet, or phone to easily reference the materials.
- Have multiple highlighters and/or ink pen options during the lesson so that you can note and highlight important points shared during the lesson. If your writing utensil stops working, having back-up options reduces the chances of you missing important information due to you needing to search for additional materials.
- Depending on the length of the lesson, it may be appropriate to have a light snack and water (or other beverage of your choice) nearby. This reduces the need to gather these items during the lesson - which could lead to you missing important information.
- Reduce distractions to avoid missing important points during the lesson. This may look like silencing your phone and other cellular notifications and/or selecting class options that are hosted during the quietest moments of your day.
- Check your e-mail inbox for important notifications about the lesson, lesson materials, and surveys before the lesson and after the lesson. Sometimes, it may be necessary to check your spam or junk folder - especially if you use heavy security filters.
- Review Spanglish Language Solutions' policies and disclaimers before participating in any lessons and services and/or engaging with lesson materials intended for educational and instructional purposes only.
